Printed Layer is a small family studio in Charlottesville, Virginia. This page lists everything printedlayer.com collects, where it goes, and how to ask us to delete it. Orders and payments happen on Etsy, not on this site.

Visitor analytics

We count visits with Umami, which we run on our own server at umami.printedlayer.com. It does not use cookies, and the site has no advertising or social media trackers.

Umami records which pages are viewed, the site that sent you here, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and country. The site also sends Umami a few anonymous events, such as clicking an Order on Etsy button, choosing a color swatch, or how far down a page you scrolled, plus occasional page speed measurements. We never send Umami your name, your email address, or anything you type into the forms below.

Turn it off: visit printedlayer.com/?optout=1 and this browser stops sending analytics. The setting is saved in your browser's local storage, so it lasts until you clear this site's data. To turn analytics back on, visit printedlayer.com/?optin=1.

The forms

Each form sends what you type to our form server at contact.printedlayer.com, which emails it to us. That server also uses your IP address to limit spam and writes your email address and IP address to its log for each submission.

Contact form

Your name, email address, subject, and message are emailed to us so we can reply. The form server does not add them to any list.

Email signups

The signup at the bottom of each page, and the "tell me when it lists" form on upcoming sport pages, save your email address to our email list so we can tell you about new designs and listings. To leave the list, email info@printedlayer.com.

Team quote form

Your name, email address, team name, sport, player count, colors, roster, and notes are saved as a quote request and emailed to us so we can price your order. Quote requests, including rosters, are deleted 90 days after we receive them. A quote request does not add you to our email list. You don't need to send players' names: jersey numbers are all we need to make the charms.

Photo sharing form

The share your setup form saves your name, email address, the name you want to be credited as, your order number and photo link if you give them, your message, and a record of the permission you gave (the exact wording you agreed to and when), then emails it to us. We only show a photo you gave permission for, with the name you chose. Gallery submissions we don't feature are deleted 90 days after we receive them. If we feature yours, we keep the submission and its permission record until you ask us to remove the photo. It does not add you to our email list.

Orders on Etsy

Every purchase, payment, and shipping address is handled by Etsy, and this site never sees your card details. Etsy shares your name and shipping address with us so we can make and ship your order. We don't sell or share your information with anyone. Etsy's own privacy policy covers everything that happens on Etsy.

See or delete your information

Email info@printedlayer.com from the address you used and tell us what you'd like. We'll send you a copy of what we have, or delete it from our email list, quote records, and gallery submissions.
