How to assemble the CantiLover Booth Organizer, 4 tiers

The original CantiLover is the booth organizer: heavier trays with bins and covers. It shares its chassis and hinge with the Light, so if you have built one you know most of the other.

Every picture is a render of TeamGraphika's master files, exactly as he drew them, not a photo of a print. The colours are ours: in the step pictures, the parts a step adds are pink, the parts already on are blue. The stand is TeamGraphika's, shown with his permission; we host no files.

The finished stand

What to print

  • 1 x Tray Bottom (V4)
  • 2 x Tray Middle (V4)
  • 1 x Tray Top (V4): its rear skirt carries the two post sockets and the pegboard slot
  • 4 x Long arm: three holes
  • 4 x Short arm: two holes
  • 20 x Barbed pin (Hinge Lock Update.stl): V4's updated pin; goes in from inside the tray, the head in the pocket on the inner wall
  • 2 x Support 4 Tier post: one plate prints both
  • 4 x Bins Single
  • 3 x Bins Double
  • 2 x Bins Triple
  • 3 x Bins Cover Single
  • 1 x Bins Cover Double
  • 1 x Bins Cover Triple
  • 1 x PegBoard Top tile: stands in the slot along the back of the Top tray

Print tips

  • TeamGraphika's figures: the original takes about 34 hours and 1,350 g for trays and bins with covers; the Light about 26 hours and 1,070 g, at 2 walls and 10% infill.
  • Pins at 0.12 mm layers, or the 45-degree pin at 0.16 mm, in PETG. Fine layers are what stop them snapping at the barb.
  • Built for a 256 x 256 bed; the Light tray inside is about 234 x 94 x 57 mm with four bays of about 55 mm (TeamGraphika, in the comments).

Step by step

Pins first, then the bins and legs, then the trays bottom to top.

  1. Step 1: Print and sort the kit, render

Step 1. Print and sort the kit

Print every part in the list and lay it out. Sort the arms into four long and four short, keep the pins together, and match each bin to its cover.

    Show the numbers
    • TeamGraphika prints the Light at 2 walls and 10% infill, and the pins at 0.12 mm layers for strength.
    • 1 x Tray Bottom (V4)
    • 2 x Tray Middle (V4)
    • 1 x Tray Top (V4)
    • 4 x Long arm
    • 4 x Short arm
    • 20 x Barbed pin (Hinge Lock Update.stl)
    • 2 x Support 4 Tier post
    • 4 x Bins Single
    • 3 x Bins Double
    • 2 x Bins Triple
    • 3 x Bins Cover Single
    • 1 x Bins Cover Double
    • 1 x Bins Cover Triple
    • 1 x PegBoard Top tile
  2. Step 2: Push the pins out from inside every tray, render

Step 2. Push the pins out from inside every tray

Take each tray and push a pin out through every hinge hole from inside the tray: barb first, flat side up, until the head sits in the round pocket on the inside wall and the shaft stands out of the tray end. Do both ends of every tray now, before any arm goes on. TeamGraphika's tip: turn the pin slightly sideways as you push.

    Show the numbers
    • Each tray end has hinge bores 20, 50 and 80 mm from the front, but the Bottom tray has no front bore and the Top tray has no rear bore.
    • The pin's Ø5.0 shaft is a slip fit in the Ø5.2 bore; it goes out through the 2.0 mm wall and the 3.0 mm arm until the barb snaps 2.5 mm proud of the arm, the head in the Ø10.2 x 1.0 mm pocket on the inner wall.
    • Twenty pins in all.
  3. Step 3: Set the bins in, render

Step 3. Set the bins in

Drop the bins into each tray's bay, front edge to the front, and press a cover onto the bins that take one. Do it now, while the trays are loose and easy to reach into.

    Show the numbers
    • Nine bins and five covers; a bin is 57.9 mm a cell on a 58.5 mm pitch.
  4. Step 4: Put the legs in the Top tray, render

Step 4. Put the legs in the Top tray

Before you stack anything, turn the Top tray over and push each support post up into its socket in the rear skirt until it stops. The posts face outward, feet toward the back.

    Show the numbers
    • The Support 4 Tier post is a 205 mm L-section; its 5.0 mm web goes 25 mm up a 5.2 mm slot in the Top tray's rear skirt.
  5. Step 5: Start the stack on the Bottom tray, render

Step 5. Start the stack on the Bottom tray

Stand the Bottom tray front lip toward you. On each end press the short arm and the long arm behind it over the pins, front to back, until the barbs snap through. The arms lean up and back, ready for the next tray.

    Show the numbers
    • Bottom tray: short arm on Bottom 50 and first Middle 20 (mm from the front); long arm on Bottom 80, first Middle 50 and second Middle 20 (mm from the front)
  6. Step 6: Add the first Middle tray, render

Step 6. Add the first Middle tray

Lift the first Middle tray onto the arms so its front pins go into the free holes of the arms on both ends. Then press the long arm over the pins at the back of this tray. Keep going up a tray at a time.

    Show the numbers
    • first Middle tray: long arm on first Middle 80, second Middle 50 and Top 20 (mm from the front)
  7. Step 7: Add the second Middle tray, render

Step 7. Add the second Middle tray

Lift the second Middle tray onto the arms so its front pins go into the free holes of the arms on both ends. Then press the short arm over the pins at the back of this tray. Keep going up a tray at a time.

    Show the numbers
    • second Middle tray: short arm on second Middle 80 and Top 50 (mm from the front)
  8. Step 8: Set the Top tray on, legs and all, render

Step 8. Set the Top tray on, legs and all

Lift the Top tray, legs already in, onto the arms: its pins go into the free top holes of the arms on both ends. Stand everything up on the Bottom tray and the two feet. The stand is open.

    Show the numbers
    • Top tray:
  9. Step 9: Stand a pegboard in the Top tray, render

Step 9. Stand a pegboard in the Top tray

Slide the pegboard tile down into the slot along the back of the Top tray. It stands up behind the top tier; hang hooks and bins on it.

    Show the numbers
    • The Top tray's rear slot is 220 x 5.2 x 30 mm, drawn 0.4 mm clear of the tile.

Questions and numbers

The measurements, counts and settings, kept out of the steps. Tap a question to open it.

How many of each part do I print?

1 x Tray Bottom (V4); 2 x Tray Middle (V4); 1 x Tray Top (V4); 4 x Long arm; 4 x Short arm; 20 x Barbed pin (Hinge Lock Update.stl); 2 x Support 4 Tier post; 4 x Bins Single; 3 x Bins Double; 2 x Bins Triple; 3 x Bins Cover Single; 1 x Bins Cover Double; 1 x Bins Cover Triple; 1 x PegBoard Top tile.

What print settings does TeamGraphika use?

TeamGraphika prints the Light at 2 walls and 10% infill, and the pins at 0.12 mm layers for strength.

Where are the hinge holes?

Each tray end has hinge bores 20, 50 and 80 mm from the front, but the Bottom tray has no front bore and the Top tray has no rear bore. The ladders read 2, 3, 3, 2 holes front to back: each hole sits one tier up and one bore column forward.

How does the pin fit?

The pin's Ø5.0 shaft is a slip fit in the Ø5.2 bore; it goes out through the 2.0 mm wall and the 3.0 mm arm until the barb snaps 2.5 mm proud of the arm, the head in the Ø10.2 x 1.0 mm pocket on the inner wall. TeamGraphika's tip: turn the pin slightly sideways as you push.

How do the legs fit?

The Support 4 Tier post is a 205 mm L-section; its 5.0 mm web goes 25 mm up a 5.2 mm slot in the Top tray's rear skirt.

How big is it?

Each tier sits 60 mm up and 60 mm back from the one below. Open, the stand is 256.4 x 288.2 x 240 mm (width x depth x height). Folded, the trays stack 256.4 x 108.2 x 240 mm; the linkage turns 53.13 degrees about the pins.

What fits in the slot along the back of the Top tray?

A TeamGraphika pegboard tile. The Top tray's rear slot is 220 x 5.2 x 30 mm, drawn 0.4 mm clear of the tile.

Which stand do I have?

The CantiLover (the original booth organizer) has heavier trays and bins with covers. The Light has thinner trays and dividers. The JUMBO is twice the width: on a 180 or 256 bed each tier prints as two halves joined down the middle, and on a 320 bed each tier prints whole.

Which version are these pictures?

Light V3, CantiLover V4 and JUMBO V4 and V5 files, rendered as drawn. The Light's step pictures are drawn from its V2 files: V3 changed the cover notch and added a second leg that prints flat, so the steps are the same.

Where are the files?

On TeamGraphika's Patreon. Printed Layer hosts none of them; our free add-ons are shared in his community Discord.

Where our add-ons go

Free Printed Layer add-ons that fit this stand, grouped by what each one fits. Every card links to its design page. Our Light add-ons are designed on the Light's trays and pegboard; see the Light guide for those and the JUMBO guides for the JUMBO pegboards.

For any CantiLover

  • Fits MultiBuild pegboards

TeamGraphika's Jumbo sign holder, remade to clip onto the top edge of a MultiBuild board. His Blank Sign still slides in unchanged.

  • Fits MultiBuild pegboards

Joins two MultiBuild boards side by side, and still takes a TeamGraphika Blank Sign across the joint.

  • Fits MultiBuild pegboards

Joins two MultiBuild boards edge to edge with a channel on each side.

  • Fits CantiLover 5, 6, and 7-tier stands

TeamGraphika's 4-Stack Handle connector, stretched so the stacked carry works on taller stands.
